SUPETAR - the small main town on the diversified island of Brac, third largest island on the Dalmatian Riviera. You can reach Supetar with a car-ferry in about 50 minutes. Once there you can already feel the first moments of relaxation.

A lively place with stores, restaurants, coffee bars, green market, post office, bank, petrol station, pharmacy, ambulance and everything, you might need. There is a tennis school and surfing school as well. You can also rent a small boat and enjoy superb round trips over the island.

The island of Brac is 40 km long, up to 10 km wide and with its 395 km ² it is the biggest island on the Dalmatian coast. The Mediterranean climate makes the almond trees bloom already in February and you can enjoy swimming up to October at pleasant temperatures. With more than 2700 sunny hours Brac belongs to the sunniest areas on the Adriatic coast.

Each of the twenty plus places has its own charm. The island 's landscape is as much diversified as its history. All small and big settlements are connected with good constructed roads. Two places on the coast have daily ship connections with Split or other places on the mainland, which is some 7 miles away from the island.

The water is crystal clear, incredibly clean and invites you to various activities. Swimming, snorkeling, diving schools, surfing, boat excursions over the island or to the mainland with a rafting tour. Besides shingle and sporadically sand beaches you can find here marvelous places on the rocks, where you will be almost undisturbed - it 's a small paradise for devotees of the nude culture. Bathing shoes are recommended since sporadically there are see urchins because of the very good water quality.

The guests should not miss to make an excursion to BOL, place also famous outside the Croatian borders and enjoy the view from the highest mountain on the island, Vidova gora (780 m above sea level) to the world famous headland ZLATNI RAT as well as to the marvelous beach with round pebbles. At good weather conditions you can also see the neighboring island of Hvar.

In the centre of Supetar, less then 100 m away from the sea and the beautiful swimming spots, on a side street is where the house MARCELIN is located.

In the semidetached house the whole upper floor with a living area of 130 m ² offers highest comfort and elegant equipment to the guests.

There are three bedrooms, one commodious living room with a dinette and couch part with satellite TV. The comfortable daybed can be used by one adult or two children. There is also the possibility of a camp bed for 8-th person.

From the living room you go out to, exit to the big terrace with comfortable garden furniture .
The kitchen is completely equipped with dishes and kitchen paraphernalia for 10 persons. You can also find a refrigerator with small freezer, a cooker with two gas and power plates, a double bowl sink and of course a coffee machine.
One bathroom with a bath tub and toilette as well as one extra shower room with a toilette is permanently at your disposal.
The couple that owns the apartment speaks a bit German and lives in the lower part of the house. Possibility to grill is given and the very nice landlord will be happy to help you out with it. He is also generally very approachable and can accompany you as a tourist guide through the beautiful old centre.

As you can see from the picture there is a sitting nook in the very cultivated courtyard that you can freely use and drink together with the landlord a glass of the excellent home made wine.

In front of the house an overgrown parking space is at your disposal.
You can reach the centre, the stores and the harbor by walking in less then 5 minutes.

All you need to do is to take the bath towel and the insulated lunch bag and walk for about 100 m to the swimming spots. You will actually cross the access road to the ferry, which is yet again more frequently used only during arrival times. The last ferry arrives in Supetar short before 22 hours so peaceful sleep is not endangered.

There are no noisy discos nearby thus you can enjoy the evening and the night totally relaxed.
The island is worth a journey during which you should discover the many romantic places, visit sights, enjoy shopping on the green market where you will find tomatoes that actually taste like real ones. You should also try the domestic schnapps which is sold in the booths. At pleasant temperatures you can always hear the cicada singing and breathe the mild air.

It 's a vacation at adorable hosts that are always at your disposal and ready to make the best period of the year a special experience for you.
